Had an interesting dialogue with Lucian today about the imagination. He asked me " Daddy, what is it called when you can see things but not with your regular eyes?"

It took me a few moments to understand what he was getting at, but when I realized what it was I told him that that is the beauty and power of our imagination, to which he replied, "Its kind of like having another eye in your body that sees things like your regular eyes."

I thought it a great analogy, and told him that alot of things exist and operate in this world that we never see with our naked eye....unseen forces which when coupled with the external, visual world, make up the whole of reality. (paraphrased for my 6 year old son).

This seemed to make sense to him, and he said he thought the same.
