I decided to post 3 of the songs off the album Ive been working on, which is almost finished except for a song or two.....all based on the theme of love (how timely!).
The album is an introspective look back on the love I've gained and lost through past relationships with friends, family, God, and romances.
Ive found that in many relationships I've been in I've shared the common bond of love of music. Consequently, there are some songs, bands, and albums that distinctly remind me of certain people and certain times/events in my life.
To be sure, these songs--Bob Dylan's BOOTS OF SPANISH LEATHER, Slint's WASHER, and Yo La Tengo's DONT SAY A WORD (HOT CHICKEN#2)--are chosen for their intrinsic beauty as well as their nostalgic reminiscence of the people I shared them with.
