show this Thursday!

My friend Myah Bailey, who owns and operates an art gallery on Lovejoy St. named BENJAMIN BENJAMIN, is having a show in which 20 artists were coupled together and asked to paint each other's portraits. The concept is pretty fun, and the artists are even funner!....should be a good show. Here is the Facebook link.

Myah was kind enough to ask me to participate, so here is my portrait of longtime friend and confidant Kathleen Courian-Sanchez.

Come on out to the show if you are in the neighborhood this Thursday.....if you dont like art or artists, and still need a good reason to come out, then you should know Stone Brewing and the Canvas Art Bar will be on Hand for the show, serving world class wine and beer....

OCTOPUSSY!!!

Soooo I've been a little lax this summer about blogging. What can I say, things have been happening...alot of busy things. Nicole and I are currently shifting our work schedules (for the better!) and I just got a new job as a school bus driver, which I am extremely excited about.

As fall is settling in, Im beginning to rewrite and underscore my creative list and should have more time to work on upcoming projects while both kids are in school all day.

Here are the two major things on my list this fall:

1. Finish recording, mastering, and pressing CD's for the music Nicole and I have been working on (which, by the way, we decided to name Red on Red!)
and
2. Work on a series of "branded" paintings with acrylic and found wood. For example......

I just finished this one today for a show at the BenjaminBenjamin gallery here in Portland (details here: benjaminbenjamin.com/page/2).

The artists reception is this thursday, October 7th, from 5-8pm. Come say hi....
