So, these past 2 weeks have pretty much been consumed by a remodeling project Im doing with my parents-in-law on our garage. We are converting it into a living room add on for the house, and Nicole and I are really excited about it.
I love working on it right now, and consider it on par with any other of our creative endeavors. Just the process of seeing the garage slowly transform into a living space gives me an artists high....maybe doing construction is not just a utilitarian task for left brain folks!
+++++A highlight for sure has been working alongside Fred, my father-in-law, a retired construction worker. Talk about a fiery, volatile mix in our approach and demeanor towards getting the job done. I assume lessons are being learned on both sides.
